EU Rebate

So do we give the rebate back? I think not. Mainly because I think it is being used as a way of diverting attention from the bigger problem of the economic direction of the EU.

Having said that it must go at some stage so if it can be part of a deal on economic reform that also deals with the CAP then that will do fine for me.

The rebate originated because britain wasn't benefitting (if that's the right word) from the CAP as much as other countries. So if one goes, the other should too.

Hi Clive,

Nope, we should not give the rebate back without reform of the EU (read CAP).

While being a staunch European, acknowledging that we will become a USE (United States of Europe) in the future, now is not the time to give up the rebate without reciprocation.
