GP's

The department of Health is to invite around 100,000 people to comment on the GP service in their area. It's an important consultation exercise so if you get an opportunity please grab it!

Not had a GP for 6 years, if one moves reasonably a lot, one has to change GP's; records seem to be lost/arrive after one has moved on again.

I'm surprised anybody aspires to be a GP in Britain these days. GPs are too bogged down by bureaucacy, paperwork, stats and surveys and are expected to act like business owners, running their surgeries like a factory with patients on conveyor belts popping through the GPs door every 10 minutes (or whatever time they are allowed to spend consulting with each patient). I blame quango health authorities for starting the rot - they are the ones who cause chaos, lose records etc.
