This is really a short note for Ingrid and other cat lovers. I found Slinky the cat on the following blog http://mcmuffin.co.uk/ As my kids cat had similar experiences with an invading neighbour who also left an unpleasant calling card on the floor together with a dead rat it seems bullying in the cat world is reaching epidemic proportions. Jericho, like Slinky, also prefers to use the front door and I suspect would like someone to walk down the path holding his paw!
I think cat ASBO's are required! Come back David Blunket - the cats need you!
Heh thanks for the laugh Tweetie Pie and Jericho. Bullying goes on everywhere, not just in the comments at this blog. The size of my cat Ophelia's territory was reduced this year by a black haired yellow eyed stalker who spent six months trying to get his furry feet under her table and gave her a raggedy ear and gashed leg in the process. Of course it's all Tony Blair's fault!
I ffel terrible because my cat IS the bully! I don't know what to do about it. Not only is she bullying the two younger cats her daughter and adopted son who she suckled, but is terrorizing my niehgbours cat, who, she tells me, is too scared to go out now. I don't know what to do. I feel really responsible but I don't know how I can retrain her. I found mention of something called 'scruffing', which is taking their scruff calmly and pressing it to the ground and hissing at them and then stroking them gently when they attack the other cats.Has anyone tried this? Also, I think shes gone abit crazy, coz she makes that growling noise if i don't let her out when she wants. COuld it be because we've only had her a year and a half and shes moved twice in that time? Help! I'm mortified!
